We’re Jillian & Jordan, twin sisters and the founders of Loveleigh Loops.

We can help you learn calligraphy even if you don’t feel like a creative person. In fact, we’re known for our logical, analytical teaching style.

You might wonder if our calligraphy looks the same as each other’s (we are twins after all!) but we each have a unique style.

Jillian wrote the modern, bouncy style with a brush pen, while Jordan used a pointed pen to create the beautiful flourished quote on the left.

We started when we were kids

We signed up for our first calligraphy class at age 11 while on a family vacation. While most kids would prefer to run around the beach, we were happy to spend a few hours in the art studio, in awe of the calligraphy pens and alphabets that surrounded us. From then on we added a touch of hand lettering to all of our school notes and journals, even throughout high school.

We didn't go to art school. We went to college to study very different topics: Jillian studied Business, Spanish, and Interactive Media while Jordan got a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Music. Loveleigh Loops Calligraphy.

We went to college to study very different topics: Jillian studied Business, Spanish, and Interactive Media while Jordan got a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Music. We both proudly graduated Summa Cum Laude from Miami University in 2014 with data-heavy jobs, but a desire to return to our creative sides after work ended each day.

Our passion was reignited years later

In 2015, we got back into practicing calligraphy to make signs and address envelopes for our own weddings. Calligraphy became our shared hobby once again, and, after getting home from our analytical day jobs, we spent hours experimenting to learn as many lettering styles as possible. We followed hundreds of Instagram accounts for inspiration, purchased countless books for research, and watched as many YouTube videos as we could find (there weren’t many at the time). Most importantly, we kept creating.

Others started noticing our skills

Friends, family, and coworkers began requesting custom greeting cards and personalized quotes, and nothing felt better than creating something handmade to make someone else feel special. We wanted to share this feeling of joy, so we published our first video tutorials in 2016 and taught our first in-person workshops in 2017.

Our students wanted more

Our students loved picking up a brush pen to create beautiful lettering on their workbook pages. But, 3 hours wasn’t enough time, and they needed next steps and more support. That’s why we decided to create online courses to share ALL our knowledge in a format that transcended the possibilities of in-person teaching. Even though we had hundreds of students go through our workshops, we knew we could help even more people by teaching online.
